Really outstanding piece on how objects tell storys way beyond the game itself. That weeping kangaroo from 1904 is almost heartbreaking when you think about the emotion captured in that moment. I remeber seeing old sports memorabilia in my granddad's attic once and feeling this same kind of connection to history. The fake jersey stuff is fascinating too, feels like every collectible market gets hit with that problem once the prices start climbing.
